I am VERY particular about what adhesive I use. I have 2 kinds, and they're all 100% medical grade. The glue manufacturers work in close collaboration with medical and dental glue manufacturers to get the best, strongest, and safest product available. If you have had a reaction to adhesive before, it is likely you'll have the same reaction again. However, I have 2 different kinds of glue and using a patch test before doing the extensions or applying a couple of lash extensions will determine if you'll be okay. Before I put lash extensions on you, you will fill out detailed paper work which will help me find out if you fit this profile! If you have had adhesive reactions before, don't give up! Lash extensions last through a full growth cycle of your natural eyelashes, which is typically 6-8 weeks. The more you take care of your eyelash extensions (which is not hard), the longer they will last. To maintain a full look, I recommend a lash fill every 3 - 4 weeks. AVOID wearing mascara, it is not necessary. If lashes are done correctly, you will not feel the need for mascara... TRUST ME. For more information read my blog about My Personal Lash Experiences!
I have synthetic mink, silk, and real mink lashes. They are customized by thickness, length, color, and density. Depending upon you what look you're going for, as well as the health of your natural lash will determine what extension is best for you!
NO! This is the biggest myth surrounding the semi-permanent eyelash industry. If eyelash extensions are applied properly, they are safe and will not ruin the health of your natural lashes. Be sure not to rub your eyes or pull out the lash extensions, this can cause lash loss and even damage your natural lashes. Again, if they are applied properly from a certified professional, the lashes will not fall out. It is better to start with a conservative look in terms of length and thickness and then move up into a more dramatic look to make sure your lashes stay healthy. If lashes are put on properly, there should not be much maintenance. Try not to sleep facing down, and don't touch or rub your eyes. The use of oil free beauty products also helps! Stay away from mascara, and do not curl your lashes. Most importantly do not get your lashes wet or damp in the first 12 to 24 hours after they have been applied! It depends! If the work you have had done by another salon is clean, and not damaging your eyelashes I will provide a re-lash touch up. However, if I think the work is damaging, or doesn't look right I will suggest to remove the lashes and start with a fresh set! I want you to have healthy & beautiful lashes!
Applying a full set of lashes takes me about two hours. Everyone has different lashes, and depending on the condition of your own lashes, I will consult with you on what length and thickness fits your lash. I want to make sure that your own lashes remain healthy, as well as providing you with what look you're trying to achieve. For example, if you have shorter and on the thinner side of lashes I will not be able to provide the Kim Kardashian dramatic look, because it won't last. If it is your first time, it is better to be conservative and overtime we can work up to a more dramatic lash. I can always add or remove lashes too!
